This will be short because I just typed in the hand written entry from 9/18.
In short, I did Clearfork. It was a pretty awesome time, and a great example of What I'm Talking About. A lot of driving, sure, but awesome. It was good to see Danielle again and meet more of her friends and family. There was some rockin' good music and nature to be had. Highlights included:
- being rowed around in a canoe while serenading Danielle and Rocky
- getting to jam on guitar and sing with people who were awesome
- extraordinarily long extemporaneous jam sessions about pie and "the candyman"
- crossing generational boundaries
- skinny dippin'
After most people had left, Danielle and I lamented that almost everyone else felt that they had to go back to the "real world," by which they meant the "sucky world." It baffles me that more people don't choose to live like us.
It took two people (working with some existing momentum, to be sure) to pull off an event which could accommodate 150 people or so. And they didn't even think it was that much work. Sure, they're awesome - so maybe you should plan on a team of three. Let's do it.
