Wow.

Yesterday I had one of those moments walking down the street. I just looked around at all these happy friendly people and said, "The Thai People really do have it All Figured Out." Shortly thereafter, I was sitting with my feet hanging over a canal and eating a bag of fried vegetarian stuff. Great meal for 20 Bhat, or about .50 USD. Meals are available for 10 Bhat though...

Anyway, as I said, I was just sitting there when this Thai schoolgirl comes up and says "This is for you." Then proceeds to hand me a Krathong for the Loi Krathong. This consists of a bunch of bannana leaves intricately folded around a floatation device which will carry it down the river with it's bounty of flowers and candles. I thought maybe it was a scam or something, as did Eileen (my new friend and guide to Bangkok). But they just wanted to be nice. Eileen ended up getting one too.

I'm not in Kansas anymore.

I have more entries that I've written, BTW, but I can't get them online from my notebook given the current setup...

Sorry.

OK - so I'm in a cyber-cafe in Hong Kong. People are fragging other people left and right. It's all ZAP! GRR! FWOOSH! AHH!

I have not time to write now. Trust, however, that a lot has happened.

Remember, if you want to meet up this side of the Pac, gimme a e-mail.
